International Dignitaries Rally for a New Iran Policy, Support NCRI as Democratic Alternative

Image
Written by Shamsi Saadati Paris, France  – On Saturday, May 17, 2025, an influential international conference convened in Paris, uniting parliamentarians and prominent political figures from a wide array of countries including the United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, Malta, Switzerland, Romania, Portugal, and the Netherlands. The central theme of the gathering was the urgent need for a new, decisive international policy towards Iran, with a strong emphasis on supporting democratic change and recognizing the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) as a viable alternative to the current regime. The event served as a significant platform for global lawmakers to voice their concerns over the deteriorating human rights situation in Iran, the regime’s escalating domestic repression, its destabilizing regional activities, and its persistent pursuit of a nuclear program. A recurring call throughout the conference was for Western governments to adopt a firmer stance, including the ...

Cutting the Mullah’s Long Arm: German Police Storm Extremist Mosques

Image
By Mostafa Aslani On July 24, 2024, German authorities executed a series of coordinated  raids  targeting the Islamic Centre Hamburg (IZH) and its affiliated organizations, exposing the Iranian regime’s extensive influence and efforts to propagate its fundamentalist ideology in Europe. The operation, which spanned eight federal states and involved the search of 53 properties, marked a significant crackdown on institutions linked to Iran’s government and Hezbollah. The Raids and Immediate Actions At dawn, heavily armed police units stormed the Imam Ali Mosque, also known as the Blue Mosque, in Hamburg. This mosque, operated by the IZH, has long been under surveillance for its extremist activities and connections to Iran. Simultaneously, raids were conducted in Berlin’s Tempelhof district and other locations across Bavaria, Bremen, Hesse, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony, and North Rhine-Westphalia. In Hamburg alone, 30 properties were searched. The police used...

Countering Iran’s Threat, Strategies for Regional Stability

Image
Written by Mahmoud Hakamian Two-minute read On Sunday morning, April 14, the Iranian regime launched an unprecedented attack against Israel, escalating tensions in the Middle East. Despite military experts’ assessments that the attack failed, it underscores  Iran’s role as a focal point  of regional conflict. The October 7th attack sent shockwaves globally. Despite ample evidence implicating the Iranian regime, Western governments dismissed Tehran’s involvement, adhering to a flawed appeasement policy toward the primary state sponsor of terrorism. They disregarded explicit statements from Revolutionary Guards  (IRGC) commanders boasting  about their direct role in the attack. For decades, the Iranian Resistance has urged the international community to adopt a resolute stance against the Iranian regime’s aggression and terrorism. Despite persistent calls, the failed appeasement policy of the West allowed Tehran to escalate its belligerent activities, including ...

Beware Russia and Iran – partners in war crimes

Image
By Struan Stevenson Stephen King, the famous American author, wrote: “Killing children for God, or ideology, or both – no hell could be hot enough for those who’d do such things”. It could be a fitting epitaph for Vladimir Putin and Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, two partners in crime and mass murder. As Russia and Iran gradually consolidate their relationship, the foundation stones for this pariah alliance are clear to see. The dominant factor is a mutual hatred of the West and in particular America. Both countries have been subjected to tough international sanctions. Both have engaged in real or perceived nuclear threats against the West. Both regard the Middle East as an area of key geopolitical importance. Iran has sought for years to become the main player in Middle East Shi’ite politics, funding Bashar al-Assad’s brutal civil war in Syria, backing the Houthi rebels in Yemen, controlling the Shi’ia militias in Iraq, financing the terrorist Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza. Ru...

Beware Iranian Wolves in Sheep's Clothing

Image
By Struan Stevenson A special consultative meeting was held in Tehran last week, headed by Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian. The meeting was attended by former Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi, who called for the Iranian regime to enter into a new comprehensive political dialogue with the West, including the US, to normalize relations and end the diplomatic discord that has persisted since the Islamic Revolution brought the mullahs to power in 1979. It was a blatant attempt to relaunch the tired, old, hard-line versus moderate fairy tale that has been a hallmark of Ali Akbar Salehi’s tactics for years. Salehi successfully persuaded the West that he represented a ‘moderate’ faction within the Iranian regime’s hierarchy when he was Minister of Foreign Affairs under the rule of former ultra-hard-line conservative President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. He tried to re-emphasize his credentials as a restrained and mild-mannered soft-liner when he assumed the presidency of the...

UK leads the way in ending appeasement of Iran

Image
By Struan Stevenson ON 13th July, in a plenary session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, a French member, Nathalie Loiseau MEP, launched a vicious tirade against the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and the People’s Mojahedin of Iran/ Mojahedin-e Khalq (PMOI/MEK), the main democratic opposition to the mullahs’ fascist theocratic regime. Her onslaught contained all of the usual propaganda that is regularly trotted out by the mullahs. It was the latest prime example of EU appeasement policy towards the Iranian regime. It seems clear that Loiseau, who is a member of Macron’s party and a former French cabinet minister, was instructed to do this by the Élysée Palace, where President Macron is nursing his anger over his defeat in the French courts at the beginning of the month, when his attempt to ban a mass opposition rally by the NCRI was thwarted. Macron will be desperate to point to some success in his appeasement policy, to try to pacify the Iranian presi...

Exclusive: Iranian Opposition Exposes Petrochemical Company Financing Regime’s Terrorism and Oppression

Image
Written by Shamsi Saadati On May 31, 2023, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) exposed classified documents obtained by the social network of the main opposition  Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK)  inside Iran and the network of this organization inside the various organs of the Iranian regime, revealing information about Petrochemical Commercial Company International (PCCI), one of the regime’s important organs used in the field of oil and petrochemicals to circumvent sanctions.   These documents show that the facilities of this organization, which is under the control of the regime’s Armed Forces, specifically the IRGC, are clearly used to finance the regime’s belligerence and terrorism abroad and repression at home.  Petrochemical Commercial Company International (PCCI)   The Petrochemical Commercial Co. International (PCCI), established in 2000, bypasses the oil and petrochemical sanctions in astronomical dimensi...
