While global attention remains fixed on war and negotiations, the clerical regime has launched one of its most extensive campaigns of political executions and repression in recent memory. Young protesters, political activists, students and opposition supporters are being sent to the gallows while much of the democratic world remains distracted. The surge in executions should be a matter of grave concern for every civilized nation. Instead, silence prevails as governments hold their breath, waiting for the latest twist in Donald Trump’s on-again, off-again peace initiative and hopes of an end to conflict involving Iran. UN Human Rights Report Reiterates Iran Resistance’s Call to Action

 Written by Mansoureh Galestan Last week, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres presented a report to the UN General Assembly regarding Iran’s ongoing violations of human rights and unresolved issues relating to past violations.    On Saturday, Mrs.  Maryam Rajavi , the president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, issued a statement which welcomed Guterres’ remarks and reiterated a longstanding call for the international community to hold the regime and its leading officials accountable.   “The Iranian people and Resistance demand the referral of the dossier on the Iranian regime’s human rights abuses to the UN Security Council,” said Mrs. Rajavi before adding that the Iranian people and their Resistance call for “the prosecution of Ali Khamenei, Ebrahim Raisi,  Mohseni Ejei , and other officials responsible for four decades of atrocities.”    The three named officials are,...

Growing concern over the human rights record of the Iranian regime’s new president

In a press release, Pierre Bercis, the president of France-based Nouveaux Droits de l’Homme organization, wrote, “The so-called presidential elections in Iran is just a show, and its goal was to appoint an obedient person as the head of state to be a pupil to the supreme leader Ali Khamenei, who is the successor of Ruhollah Khomeini, the fundamentalist founder of this regime. “The foreign interlocutors of this regime must know that Raisi is the main perpetrator of the 1988 massacre, whose victims were first and foremost members and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), the only resistance organization to stand up against this regime.
