Iran’s Execution Machine Is Running at Full Speed

Image
By Struan Stevenson As diplomats debate ceasefires, nuclear agreements and regional security, another crisis is unfolding inside Iran with alarming speed. While global attention remains fixed on war and negotiations, the clerical regime has launched one of its most extensive campaigns of political executions and repression in recent memory. Young protesters, political activists, students and opposition supporters are being sent to the gallows while much of the democratic world remains distracted. The surge in executions should be a matter of grave concern for every civilized nation. Instead, silence prevails as governments hold their breath, waiting for the latest twist in Donald Trump’s on-again, off-again peace initiative and hopes of an end to conflict involving Iran. Meanwhile, Tehran’s rulers are using the cover of international distraction to intensify their campaign of terror against their own people. Between March and early June alone, at least 32 political prisoners were...

Conference in the Presence of Mike Pompeo, former US Secretary of State

Image
The Strategic Defeat in Syria and Lebanon Is a Clear Reflection of the Clerical Regime’s Weakness and Instability The Next Dictatorship to Be Overthrown is the Mullahs’ Regime We are happy that PMOI members at Ashraf 3 are joining us today in this conference. We welcome them. Mr. Secretary, Welcome to the Home of the Iranian Resistance. We are delighted to host you in the early days of the New Year. I hope this year will be a successful year for the people of the United States and a year of freedom, peace and prosperity for our people and the entire Middle East. The Regime’s Setbacks in 2024 2024 was a year full of serious defeats for the regime. We saw widespread boycotts of two sham elections, increased resistance in prisons, more young people joining Resistance Units, and the expansion of their activities. The regime also confronted a broken economy, 40% inflation, widespread poverty and massive financial corruption, especially among officials and IRGC commanders and growing d...

A Diplomatic Row Between Italy and Iran in the Hot Summer – A Lesson for Policy on Iran

Image
By Giulio Terzi In the history of international diplomacy quite frequently have been moments when the phone rings and an ambassador is immediately summoned to the host country’s foreign ministry.  Those calls always convey a clear message: The host country feels there is a pressing issue that requires the top envoy’s immediate attention. In the hot afternoon on July 13, Tehran’s foreign ministry hastily summoned the Italian ambassador over a visit to Rome by  Maryam Rajavi , the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran ( NCRI ). A profoundly irate Tehran fumed, screamed, and vowed there would be consequences for the visit. Rajavi, who resides in Paris, was in Rome upon the invitation of cross-party members of the Parliament. She addressed a major meeting in the Chamber of Deputies, and was also a guest of the respected liberal-oriented think-tank “Luigi Einaudi Foundation”. Members of parliament rebuffed Tehran’s summons. The Italian Foreign Ministe...

The Pendulum Shifts: Iranian Opposition Prevails over Western Concessions to Tehran

Image
By Dr. Majid Rafizadeh When it comes to Iran, discerning observers are usually fixated on the contentious nuclear issue, as well as Tehran’s unabated sponsorship of terrorism. However, recently, a conspicuous spotlight was cast on the intricate internal dynamics, capturing the attention of the global community. Following engagements with the regime, both European and American governments made a consequential decision to assuage the regime’s sensibilities by ascending to one of its paramount demands: imposing constraints on the activities of the principal opposition. The prompt failure of these efforts has shed light on fundamental realities, deserving of profound contemplation by Western policymakers. Amidst a recent flurry of reports surrounding negotiations between Washington and Tehran, a disconcerting pattern of concessions has emerged, all of which pertain to the National Council of Resistance of Iran ( NCRI ) and its main constituent, the Mujahedin-e Khalq ( MEK ). In May, ...

Selling a Dead Horse: Reza Pahlavi’s Bid to Market a Trashed Dictatorship

Image
Written by the Editorial Board  of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) As Iran’s nationwide uprising, now in its fifth month, threatens to topple the medieval ruling tyranny, Reza Pahlavi, the son of the deposed dictator Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, who millions of Iranians booted from power some 44 years ago, took part in a tailor-made interview on January 16, with a dubious television channel, Manoto TV, to lash out at Iran’s principal, and best-organized opposition, the  Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK) . Manoto TV has been widely criticized by Iranians for questionable practices, like broadcasting unblurred footage that endangers the security of protesters inside Iran, airing hateful and divisive reports that target Iran’s national minorities, and producing falsified and biased documentary reports. Reza Pahlavi’s self-serving replies to a series of softball questions by the presenters were a segway to giving him a platform to try his hand at casting aspersions at the MEK. R...
