What will be the fate of the regime with these crises and deadlock? IRAN REGIME DAMAGED THEMSELVES BY HELPING SYRIA

Image
By INU Staff INU - Despite widespread belief that the Syrian Regime would fall soon after the start of the uprising, which began in 2011, dictator Bashar Assad remains in place to this day, most of Syria has been recaptured from the rebels, and experts report that Syria is returning to its pre-Arab Spring state. Why and how did this happen? Dr. Majid Rafizadeh, an Iranian-American political scientist,  explains in an op-ed for Arab News  that the survival of the Assad dictatorship is not due to pure luck on Assad’s part or supreme Syrian military power. Instead, it was due to the lack of firm policy by nations who supported the Syrian people and the Iranian Regime’s support of the Syrian dictatorship. At some point in 2013, Supreme Leader Ali Kh...

Ordinary people pay the price for Tehran’s support of Assad

When the uprising began in Syria in 2011, many world leaders and experts predicted that Syrian President Bashar Assad’s regime was on the verge of collapse. They most likely drew their conclusions from the historic developments that occurred in other Arab countries such as Egypt, Libya and Tunisia during the Arab Spring. World leaders such as the former US President Barack Obama, former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and former British Prime Minister David Cameron appeared to  contend  that Assad’s fall was “only a matter of time.” Hence, they famously called for the Syrian president to step down. But, after more than seven years of civil war, the Syrian regime has survived and it is widely perceived that Assad has come out of the conflict triumphant. In fact, in the last few months...

The Mysterious Demise of Palestinian Scientists in Algeria

By Irina Tsukerman The recent deaths of two Palestinian scientists in Algeria once again sparked  speculation  about Mossad’s nefarious actions in Africa. The two scientists, Suliman al-Farra and Mohammed Albanna, were studying in Algiers, when they died under mysterious circumstances in their apartment. Assassinating scientists involved in nuclear research or the development of sophisticated conventional weapons is allegedly par for the course for Mossad, which is rumored to have a history of targeting Iranian scientists involved in the development of the Islamic Republic’s nuclear programs. The history of recent assassinations attributed to Mossad Israel’s national intelligence agency also allegedly had a policy of targeting  Hamas operatives and others who had developed drones that targeted Israel or otherwise contributed to significant security threats. The most recent such allegation is the mysterious demise of the  Syrian rocket scientist Dr. Aziz Asb...
