In Northern Israel, constant missile and rocket attacks by Hezbollah led to the mass evacuation of more than 70,000 Israelis from their homes in 2024 and to the inevitable military retaliation by the Israel Defense Forces, as they crossed the border into Southern Lebanon. Uprising No to High Prices - No. 9 On Friday, December 29, 2017, on the second day of the "No to High Prices" uprising, demonstrations spread to vast parts of Iran. The people and brave youths in many cities, including Kermanshah, Qom, Ahvaz, Isfahan, Quchan, Sari, Qa'mshahr, Qazvin, Rasht, Zahedan, Hamadan, Khorram-Abad, Sabzevar and Bojnourd staged protest demonstrations. In Rasht, the people rushed to the streets chanting "Death to the dictator", "Death to Khamenei", "Today is the mourning day, the rights of our nation is plundered by mullahs", " shame on you mullahs, let go the country", "We die, and will take back Iran". Students from Tehran University today joined the Uprising against high costs, and chanted: Death to the dictator and Khamenei shame on you, let go the country. They also chanted: "You reformists & the principlist, this is the end of the story" The suppressive security forces and the riot control police attacked the protesting students with tear gas and baton. Mashhad is the second most populous city in Iran and capital of Razavi Khorasan Province. It is located in the northeast of the country, bordering with Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.
