Tehran in Meltdown as Israel Decapitates Hamas and Hezbollah

By Struan Stevenson Conflagration engulfs the Middle East, with the Israel-Hamas war having gone on for more than a year now, and many Israeli hostages are still being held in deplorable conditions by Hamas terrorists. In Northern Israel, constant missile and rocket attacks by Hezbollah led to the mass evacuation of more than 70,000 Israelis from their homes in 2024 and to the inevitable military retaliation by the Israel Defense Forces, as they crossed the border into Southern Lebanon. Israeli missiles are raining down on key Hezbollah targets in Beirut. The assassination of Hezbollah’s terrorist leader Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut, a seismic event, shattered his close friend and ally Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader and Hezbollah’s main sponsor. Nasrallah’s successor, Hashem Saffieddine, was also killed in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut within hours of being nominated for the Hezbollah leadership role and before the funeral of his predecessor had even taken place. British MPs Meet with Iranian Resistance President to Discuss Democracy and Human Rights

 Written by Shamsi Saadati

The Rt. Hon. MP David Jones and Hon. House of Commons member Bob Blackman on Thursday, 23 February, met with Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI). During their meeting, the British representatives discussed the role of the Resistance Units and the organized resistance in Iran, who have been working to organize protests and resist suppression by the Iranian regime.

The meeting took place at Ashraf 3, Albania, where 3000 members of POMI/MEK reside. The British representatives expressed their admiration for the PMOI/MEK’s courage and dedication to the cause of democracy and human rights in Iran. In a statement, they acknowledged the risks that the Resistance Units and the organized resistance face in Iran but stressed their critical role in organizing and continuing protests and resisting suppression.

Mrs. Rajavi expressed her gratitude for the unwavering support for democracy and human rights in Iran that the representatives of the British people have shown. She pointed out that despite the clerical regime’s repressive measures and various schemes, it has been unable to dismantle the material foundations of the uprising, nor has it succeeded in eradicating the Resistance Units and the courageous youth who serve as its driving force. The anger and frustration of the Iranian people have reached a boiling point, fueled by poverty, state corruption and plunder, and systematic discrimination, while the vanguard force has gained even more experience, motivation, organization, and strength.

The British representatives recalled the oppression that the Iranian people have suffered under both the Shah and the mullahs. They emphasized that the cries of “death to the oppressor, be it the Shah or the mullahs’ supreme leader,” that are resonating throughout Iranian cities represent a rejection of all forms of dictatorship by Iranians. In addition,

Messrs. Jones and Blackman addressed a gathering of PMOI members and explored the Resistance’s Museum at Ashraf-3.

The meeting between the British representatives and Mrs. Rajavi highlights the ongoing struggle for democracy and human rights in Iran. The PMOI/MEK has been fighting for these values for many years and has faced significant obstacles in its efforts. The support of international allies, such as the United Kingdom, is essential to the success of the resistance movement in Iran. The meeting is a reminder that the struggle for democracy and human rights is ongoing and that it requires the continued dedication and support of people around the world.
