While global attention remains fixed on war and negotiations, the clerical regime has launched one of its most extensive campaigns of political executions and repression in recent memory. Young protesters, political activists, students and opposition supporters are being sent to the gallows while much of the democratic world remains distracted. The surge in executions should be a matter of grave concern for every civilized nation. Instead, silence prevails as governments hold their breath, waiting for the latest twist in Donald Trump’s on-again, off-again peace initiative and hopes of an end to conflict involving Iran. Resolution of the South Carolina Assembly

The bipartisan resolution of the South Carolina State House of Representatives in support of the uprising of the Iranian people and the ten-point plan of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi.
The resolution was unanimously approved by all 124 members of the South Carolina House of Representatives and signed by the speaker.
The resolution was announced by Speaker of the South Carolina House of Representatives Jay Morrell Smith Jr.
The resolution of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina states that the people of Iran have rejected two royal and religious dictatorships during the series of protest demonstrations.
The resolution emphasizes the leading role of women in the organized resistance against the dictatorship ruling Iran during the last four decades.
The resolution of the House of Representatives of South Carolina recognizes Maryam Rajavi’s ten-point plan for the future of Iran as worthy of the support of the American public.
The resolution supports the demands of the Iranian people to establish a democratic republic based on the separation of religion from the state and respect for the human rights and dignity of all people.
The resolution points out that the Iranian regime has arbitrarily and brutally suppressed ethnic and religious minorities, including Iranian Kurds, Baluchs, Arabs, Christians, Jews, Baha’is, Zoroastrians, and Sunni Muslims, deprived them of their basic rights, and executed many of them.
The resolution declares that the American people support the desire of the Iranian people for a democratic, non-nuclear republic based on the separation of religion and government, and this was expressed by the majority of the members of the United States House of Representatives in Resolution 100.
