Countering Iran’s Threat, Strategies for Regional Stability

Image
Written by Mahmoud Hakamian Two-minute read On Sunday morning, April 14, the Iranian regime launched an unprecedented attack against Israel, escalating tensions in the Middle East. Despite military experts’ assessments that the attack failed, it underscores  Iran’s role as a focal point  of regional conflict. The October 7th attack sent shockwaves globally. Despite ample evidence implicating the Iranian regime, Western governments dismissed Tehran’s involvement, adhering to a flawed appeasement policy toward the primary state sponsor of terrorism. They disregarded explicit statements from Revolutionary Guards  (IRGC) commanders boasting  about their direct role in the attack. For decades, the Iranian Resistance has urged the international community to adopt a resolute stance against the Iranian regime’s aggression and terrorism. Despite persistent calls, the failed appeasement policy of the West allowed Tehran to escalate its belligerent activities, including financing, arming, train

With Broad Support in European Parliament, the Iranian Resistance Demands Change

Image
By Mohammad Sadat Khansari On Wednesday, a number of current and former members of the European Parliament took part in an online conference. The politically diverse roster of participants represents a solid base of international support that has emerged for the Iranian opposition and its struggle for freedom in Iran outside of the country. That support has apparently been growing steadily since at least 2004, when the   NCRI   began holding international gatherings of Iranian expatriates and political dignitaries near its headquarters in France. By 2018, this annual rally for  “Iran Freedom”  had come to represent such a threat to the Iranian regime that leading officials signed off on plans for a terrorist attack on that year’s event. These plans were channeled through the Iranian embassy in Vienna, where a diplomat-terrorist named  Assadollah Assadi  led the plot and coordinated with three Iranian sleeper agents in Europe. Assadi had personally handed over explosive material and a

Torture and Humiliation of Young People in the Streets of Tehran and Medieval Sentences Ordered by Khamenei

Image
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi: This regime must be expelled from the United Nations, and its leaders brought to justice for their continuing crimes against humanity and the violations of human dignity. The international community must not allow this regime to bring medieval edicts to the 21st century Yesterday, the Mullahs’ regime Supreme Court upheld the inhumane sentence of amputating the right hand of two brothers, Mehrdad and Shahab Teymouri, who are being held in Urmia Central Prison. In another criminal ruling, the Second Branch of the Urmia Court sentenced another prisoner, 32-year-old Arash Ali Akbari, to the amputation of his right hand. In another development, on Tuesday, October 6, in a criminal act, the repressive State Security Force (SSF) tortured and humiliated five young men in public on the pretext of being “thugs,” driving them in the back of two pickup trucks in the Moshiria area of Tehran. On September 29, 2020, the police humiliated another young man on the street and beat hi

Desire to work with Gulf states a must for US election winner

Image
By Dr. Majid Rafizadeh To say that the first US presidential debate, which was dominated by personal attacks, failed to offer clear visions of each candidate’s policy platforms is something of an understatement. With two further debates scheduled, there is still a considerable amount the electorate is yet to hear on Donald Trump and Joe Biden’s visions for the future. This is especially the case on foreign policy and their respective approaches to the Middle East, where America’s actions over the next presidential term will have reverberations for decades to come. We know that President Trump has adopted a radically different approach from those that came before him. Delivering the Abraham Accords and exerting maximum pressure on Iran are his two standout Middle East achievements. In the case of the former, it is clear that he has gone a considerable distance toward mending the fractious relationship his predecessor Barack Obama had with the Gulf states. However, it was the flawed nu

Iran Regime’s Intimidating and Oppressive Measures Will Add To Society’s Restiveness

Image
By Shahriar kia Footages from Iran on Wednesday show the regime’s police humiliating youths on the street. Under the pretext of fighting crime and thugs, this inhumane measure is another desperate attempt to intimidate the public.   The regime calls defiant youths “thugs” to tarnish their image, w hile the youths  continue targeting the regime’s repressive centers. Therefore, the regime justifies its oppressive measures against defiant youths.     The real “thugs , ” who killed  1500 peaceful protesters  during the major  Iran protests  in November ,  are officially protected and wear uniforms of either the  Revolutionary Guards (IRGC)  or  p olice. Also, organized gangs affiliated with the regime freely circulate in cities with knives and terrorize the public and extort money from people. All the while, the mullahs’ regime arrests, amputates hands or executes those poor people  who are  forced to steal to make ends meet.   In a parallel development, the regime’s security officials
