Countering Iran’s Threat, Strategies for Regional Stability

Image
Written by Mahmoud Hakamian Two-minute read On Sunday morning, April 14, the Iranian regime launched an unprecedented attack against Israel, escalating tensions in the Middle East. Despite military experts’ assessments that the attack failed, it underscores  Iran’s role as a focal point  of regional conflict. The October 7th attack sent shockwaves globally. Despite ample evidence implicating the Iranian regime, Western governments dismissed Tehran’s involvement, adhering to a flawed appeasement policy toward the primary state sponsor of terrorism. They disregarded explicit statements from Revolutionary Guards  (IRGC) commanders boasting  about their direct role in the attack. For decades, the Iranian Resistance has urged the international community to adopt a resolute stance against the Iranian regime’s aggression and terrorism. Despite persistent calls, the failed appeasement policy of the West allowed Tehran to escalate its belligerent activities, including financing, arming, train

Written by Mohammad Sadat Khansari On May 29, a group of Iranian hacktivists under the moniker “ GhyamSarnegouni ” or “Rise to Overthrow” in Farsi, claimed responsibility for taking down numerous Iranian presidency-affiliated websites. On other websites, the defaced images of Khamenei and Raisi served as symbols of rejection and dissent. One targeted site exhibited the slogan, “Death to Khamenei/Raisi! Hail to Rajavi!” “Hail to Rajavi!” This incident follows a preceding disruption of websites linked to the regime’s Foreign Ministry by the same group earlier this month. In that incident,  “GhyamSarnegouni” disclosed  over 50 terabytes of data ext

Written by Shamsi Saadati In a joint letter, 107 former world leaders from 45 countries have come together to call for international support for Iran’s pro-democracy protests and the blacklisting of the regime’s  Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) . The letter, addressed to world powers, comes just days after the regime executed three protesters, highlighting the urgency of the situation.  The letter, signed by former heads of state or governments, appeals to the leaders of Canada, the European Union, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America to hold the “leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran accountable for its crimes.”  The former world leaders express their support for the Iranian people, who passionately desire a secular and democratic republic where no individual, irrespective of their religion or birthright, enjoys unjust privileges over others. The letter underscores that the Iranian people have resolutely turned away from any kind of dictatorial rule, be it the ouste

Written by Shahriar Kia Documents recently obtained by the Iranian Resistance reveal a great deal about the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ (IRGC) role in Iran’s economy and prove how interdependent the ruling establishment has become on its military forces in general and the IRGC in particular. Some of these documents were given to the  UK-based Sunday Times , which ran an exclusive on its Saturday edition on April 29, 2023.  The IRGC holds a significant influence on Iran’s economy. Over the years, the IRGC has expanded its economic activities, establishing numerous semi-private companies to circumvent sanctions imposed on the regime ruling Iran and engaging in large-scale smuggling operations. After the U.S. imposed sanctions on the regime in 2010, the IRGC expanded its economic activities to strengthen its control over the Iranian economy, which triggered rivalry among conflicting factions.   The regime’s leaders have emphasized the importance of reducing reliance on foreign co
