Countering Iran’s Threat, Strategies for Regional Stability

Image
Written by Mahmoud Hakamian Two-minute read On Sunday morning, April 14, the Iranian regime launched an unprecedented attack against Israel, escalating tensions in the Middle East. Despite military experts’ assessments that the attack failed, it underscores  Iran’s role as a focal point  of regional conflict. The October 7th attack sent shockwaves globally. Despite ample evidence implicating the Iranian regime, Western governments dismissed Tehran’s involvement, adhering to a flawed appeasement policy toward the primary state sponsor of terrorism. They disregarded explicit statements from Revolutionary Guards  (IRGC) commanders boasting  about their direct role in the attack. For decades, the Iranian Resistance has urged the international community to adopt a resolute stance against the Iranian regime’s aggression and terrorism. Despite persistent calls, the failed appeasement policy of the West allowed Tehran to escalate its belligerent activities, including financing, arming, train

By Matin Karim Two prominent lawmakers from the United Kingdom met with  Mrs. Maryam Rajavi , the president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), on February 23, 2023. In their meeting with Mrs. Rajavi, Hon. Bob Blackman, MP from the UK House of Commons, and Rt. Hon. David Jones MP, the former Secretary of State for Wales, former Brexit Minister of State, and President of the Parliamentary British Committee for Iran Freedom, expressed their support for the uprising of the Iranian people and their aspirations to live in a free and democratic republic. Mr. Jones and Mr. Blackman acknowledged the extensive history of oppression suffered by the Iranian people under both the Shah and the mullahs, marked by the cries of “death to the oppressor, be it the Shah or the mullahs’ supreme leader” echoing throughout Iranian cities. They recognized that these cries represent a strong rejection of all forms of dictatorship by the Iranian people. “It is absurd to think that the

Munich Security Conference Assured Tehran More Than It Warned

Image
By Hossein Daei Alilslam After enduring six months of persistent protests, during which hundreds of lives were lost and tens of thousands of demonstrators suffered through torture, rape, and even blindness, the Iranian people have sent a resounding message to the world: regime change is inevitable, it’s not a question of if, but when. Yet again, despite passionate rhetoric about supporting the people of Iran, the Western powers have shown a steadfast reluctance to confront the murderous regime in Iran. With the war in Ukraine as a major shadow that cast a high, the Munich Security Conference 2023 was held from February 17 to 19. Unlike previous years, and despite its evident impact on the prolonged invasion of Ukraine, the so-called “Iranian threat” was a missing spot on the  MSC agenda  as an official topic that world leaders would commit time to discuss. Unprecedently, the Iranian regime’s delegation was disinvited to the MSC as the organizers wanted to make sure Tehran feels the c

Why Iranian Regime’s “Friendly Journalists” Retake Aim At MEK

Image
By Dr. Ali Safavi In an article that was published in Townhall on February 24, NCRI Foreign Affairs Committee member Dr. Ali Safavi criticizes the Iranian regime’s continued efforts to spread false propaganda against Iran’s main organized opposition group, the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK) using Western media outlets like the Intercept. The author highlights how the regime is recycling old lies and misinformation to demonize the MEK and divert attention from its own failures and atrocities. Dr. Safavi argues how the MEK, which has been exposing and fighting Tehran’s war, terror, and hostage-taking machine for decades, has been the target of one of the most severe slandering campaigns and urges the international community to support the Iranian Resistance in its efforts to bring democracy and freedom to Iran.  The full text of Dr. Ali Safavi’s article in Townhall is reflected below and the original piece can be found under this link:  https://townhall.com/columnists/alisafavi/2023/02/24/rec

Recycling Tehran’s Propaganda Against the MEK

Image
By Dr. Ali Safavi Every time the mullahs ruling Iran face a significant impasse, such as the six-month-long uprising that has shaken the regime to its core, they cast the net as wide as possible to recruit “friendly journalists” that chant regime propaganda against the MEK. After vanishing into thin air when I  exposed him  three years ago for his falsehoods, Murtaza Hussain has resurfaced, this time lashing out against the US Congress for  supporting  the main Iranian opposition Mujahedin-e Khalq ( MEK ).  Hussain’s intense hatred towards the democratic Iranian opposition is deeply connected to his  promotion  of a policy of appeasement towards Iran’s authoritarian regime. As a result, his writings have received favorable coverage from regime-controlled media outlets. In Hussain’s view, any tough talk on the mullahs is nothing more than an “ ideological crusade against Iran ,” He maintains the dubious belief that the regime has always “negotiated a deal in good faith.” Additionally,
