Countering Iran’s Threat, Strategies for Regional Stability

Image
Written by Mahmoud Hakamian Two-minute read On Sunday morning, April 14, the Iranian regime launched an unprecedented attack against Israel, escalating tensions in the Middle East. Despite military experts’ assessments that the attack failed, it underscores  Iran’s role as a focal point  of regional conflict. The October 7th attack sent shockwaves globally. Despite ample evidence implicating the Iranian regime, Western governments dismissed Tehran’s involvement, adhering to a flawed appeasement policy toward the primary state sponsor of terrorism. They disregarded explicit statements from Revolutionary Guards  (IRGC) commanders boasting  about their direct role in the attack. For decades, the Iranian Resistance has urged the international community to adopt a resolute stance against the Iranian regime’s aggression and terrorism. Despite persistent calls, the failed appeasement policy of the West allowed Tehran to escalate its belligerent activities, including financing, arming, train

Who is Mohammad Kazemi and Can He Save Iranian regime’s IRGC Intelligence Organization?

Image
Written by   Mehdi Oghbai On June 23, Hossein Salami, the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Commander-in-Chief, appointed the IRGC Brigadier General Mohammad Kazemi as the new chief of the IRGC Intelligence Organization. Hossein Taeb, the former commander of the IRGC-IO, was booted from his position after 13 years, following a series of assassinations of the IRGC’s commanders and numerous operations by the  Iranian Resistance Units  against the regime’s centers of oppression. Sacking Taeb,  a confidant of the regime’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and his son Mojtaba reveals the depths of what Khamenei describes as the “crisis of infiltration” in the regime’s security apparatus. Since its foundation in 2009, the IRGC-IO has been under Khamenei’s direct supervision, operating as a parallel security organization to the regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS). According to the regime’s constitution, a mullah should be the Minister of intelligence. Thus, Khamenei appointed Taeb as

Khamenei reveals his terror of growing unrests

Image
By  Farid Mahoutchi In a meeting with the head and senior officials of the judiciary, regime supreme leader Ali Khamenei, expressed his utter fear of the growing unrest in the Iranian society and called for an all-out crackdown on social media and protests. Khamenei’s latest speech comes at a time when the regime is struggling to contain a growing wave of protests across the country. People from all walks of life are coming to the streets every day to protest economic woes, government corruption, arrest of activists, and suppression of freedoms. At the same time, the Iranian Resistance has taken great strides inside the country. The Resistance Units, a network of activists affiliated with the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), has been carrying out numerous campaigns across the country to prevent the regime’s apparatus of suppression from stifling the voices of dissent and defiance. In such an atmosphere, Khamenei compared today’s conditions with the early 1980s, whe

Maryam Rajavi ’s speech in the presence of the Nobel Laureate in medicine Prof. Roberts Professor Richard Roberts, 1993 Nobel Laureate in medicine, and  Maryam Rajavi  met and held talks in Ashraf-3 on Sunday, June 26, 2022. Mr. Roberts also visited the Resistance’s Museum and addressed a gathering of PMOI members in Ashraf-3. Professor Richard Roberts is a valuable scholar of molecular biology. His research led to the discovery of alternative splicing of genes, which proved instrumental in the prevention, and treatment of hereditary illnesses in infants. The Nobel Committee gave the 1993 Nobel Prize in medicine to Professor Roberts for his discovery. Professor Roberts is also a humanitarian scientist who has repeatedly protested and issued declarations against the crackdowns on the PMOI in Ashraf and Liberty, and the massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in Iran in joint action with other Nobel Laureates. During the Iranian people’s uprising in 2009, he sponsored a letter to the UN

MEK Resistance Units expand activities in several cities across Iran

By   Matin Karim Members of  Resistance Units , an expanding network of brave and resilient Iranians associated with the opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran ( PMOI/MEK ), are escalating their ongoing campaign of measures aimed at weakening the regime’s crackdown across the country. In recent days, the Resistance Units carried out activities in several cities, including Tehran, Mashhad, Rasht, Sabzevar, and Isfahan. In Rasht, one of the country’s main northern cities with a large population, anti-regime slogans were aired in public on June 23: “Death to Khamenei, hail to Rajavi!” respectively referring to regime Supreme Leader  Ali Khamenei  and Iranian Resistance leader  Massoud Rajavi . “Death to Khamenei-Raisi!” another slogan read, referring to the regime supreme leader and regime President  Ebrahim Raisi . “Khomeini be damned!” referring to the regime’s first supreme leader Ruhollah Khomeini. The slogans also called Raisi as “the butcher of 1988,” referring to th

On June 26, Sir Richard J. Roberts, the  1993 Nobel Prize  winner of Physiology or Medicine visited Ashraf-3 and met with the NCRI President-elect Mrs. Maryam Rajavi. Sir Roberts, a British biochemist and molecular biologist who won the Nobel Prize for the discovery of introns in eukaryotic DNA and the mechanism of gene-splicing, also attended a meeting with the members of the Iranian Resistance and conducted a brief but touching speech. Welcoming Sir Roberts, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi said: “We and the Iranian people will remember this visit because of your distinguished scientific career, because of your support for the Iranian people’s uprisings for freedom, and particularly because of your sincere and heartfelt defense of the MEK in  Ashraf and Camp Liberty  during the seven years, from 2009 until 2016, where 150 MEK members were slain and nearly 1,500 wounded in seven bloodbaths. From the first attack until today, you have st

Iranians Increasingly Oppose the Theocratic Dictatorship

Image
By Dr. Majid Rafizadeh The 1979 Iranian revolution was a repudiation of the Pahlavi dynasty’s self-serving economic policies and brutal repression of dissent. It was never intended to establish a theocratic dictatorship in place of a secular one. Most of the factions involved in that revolution, such as the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran ( PMOI/MEK ), envisioned a democratic future for the country. But despite their support from the vast majority of Iranian citizens, they were not ultimately able to prevent Ruhollah Khomeini from co-opting the revolution to establish a system of absolute clerical rule, with himself at its head. Now, Khomeini’s successor is overseeing efforts to stave off a renewed push for democratic governance by insisting that opposition to the theocratic dictatorship is tantamount to endorsement of the very monarchy that was rejected by virtually all Iranians more than four decades ago. In July 2018, sensi

Even Khamenei’s edicts can’t hide Raisi’s abysmal performance

Image
By  Farid Mahoutchi The official website of Iranian regime Supreme Leader  Ali Khamenei  published his recent speech where he warned various regime officials and entities regarding their criticism of regime President  Ebrahim Raisi  and his administration. “Whoever pushes the nation into being pessimistic about the country’s officials is, willingly or unwillingly, working in favor of the enemy!” he  said  on June 12 in unprecedented remarks. While Khamenei’s orders usually rallied his loyalists, just one after his remarks were published on June 21, members of the regime’s Majlis (parliament) who are considered close to Khamenei were seen literally lashing at Raisi. “Mr. Raisi! The prices of various goods are skyrocketing… Mr. Raisi, your lazy and tired bureaucratic system, engulfed with corruption and graft, is suffocating the country,” said Majlis member Ali Asghar Anabestani. Another Majlis member went even further and specifically targeted Khamenei. “Aside from our criticism of Kh
