Countering Iran’s Threat, Strategies for Regional Stability

Image
Written by Mahmoud Hakamian Two-minute read On Sunday morning, April 14, the Iranian regime launched an unprecedented attack against Israel, escalating tensions in the Middle East. Despite military experts’ assessments that the attack failed, it underscores  Iran’s role as a focal point  of regional conflict. The October 7th attack sent shockwaves globally. Despite ample evidence implicating the Iranian regime, Western governments dismissed Tehran’s involvement, adhering to a flawed appeasement policy toward the primary state sponsor of terrorism. They disregarded explicit statements from Revolutionary Guards  (IRGC) commanders boasting  about their direct role in the attack. For decades, the Iranian Resistance has urged the international community to adopt a resolute stance against the Iranian regime’s aggression and terrorism. Despite persistent calls, the failed appeasement policy of the West allowed Tehran to escalate its belligerent activities, including financing, arming, train

Fearing Protests, Iran’s Regime Intensifies Oppressive Measures

Image
Written by Mehdi Oghbai On Saturday,  Hassan Karami , the commander of the Iranian regime’s special anti-riot units, revealed the regime’s utter fear of the nationwide uprising while blatantly claiming to have crushed Iran’s democratic revolution, which he described as “riots.”   “Our vision is to cover at least 400 cities and areas nationwide to counter riots and the enemy’s supposed movements. We should double our capacity in the [Persian New Year of] 1402,” he said, as  reported  by different state-run outlets on March 25.   Moreover, in his annual Nowruz speech, the regime’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, bogusly claimed that he and his regime had “slapped” the “rioters” and would do it again in the future vis-à-vis other “incidents.”  Despite Khamenei’s “victory over riots” rhetoric, Karami implicitly acknowledged the society’s volatility and that at least 400 cities and areas are on the verge of explosion. Secondly, by vowing to double the anti-riot units and facilities, Karami

The policy of appeasement of the mullahs' regime is a failure and encourages the mullahs to increase repression at home and terrorism abroad

By Struan Stevenson Nowruz, the Persian New Year, literally means “New Day”. The arrival of spring and the reawakening of nature is a time of inspiration for all Iranians. Sadly, for 85 million Iranians, such a society does not exist The mullahs’ theocratic fascist regime offers only repression, cruelty, injustice, torture, corruption, and the export of terror. That they do so in the name of Islam is an outrage and disgrace. This year Iranians will be praying that Nowruz will bring the blossoming of a new and better future for Iran and an end to decades of suffering under the tyrannical dictatorship of the mullahs and before that, the savage despotism of the Shah. As the nationwide uprising continues into its seventh month, since the killing in custody last September of the young Kurdish girl Mahsa Amini by the ‘morality police’, more than 750 protesters have been killed and over 30,000 have been arrested. Canada imposes new sanctions against the Iranian regime

Canada announced additional sanctions under the Special Economic Measures (Iran) provisions against the Iranian regime for gross human rights violations and for its involvement in the production of drones and ballistic missiles. This list includes eight individuals and two institutions, including senior officials of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps and the police force. These entities support the regime by disrupting and manipulating online communications and providing tactical equipment to suppress demonstrations. This is the 10th package of sanctions that Canada has imposed against the Iranian regime since October 2022. The new measures announced today prohibit any dealings with individuals and entities on the list and freeze any assets they may have in Canada. Canada will continue to use diplomatic tools to respond to the Iranian regime’s human rights abuses, propaganda and actions that threaten international peace and stability. This includes working closely with partners an

The Italian Senate unanimously approved a resolution related to supporting the Iranian uprising

Image
The Italian Senate unanimously approved a resolution related to the Iranian uprising and the clerical regime’s violation of human rights and women’s rights. The resolution states that men and women in Iran have resolutely fought for freedom, democracy, and respect for human rights for decades, and despite the repression, torture, and execution of thousands of political prisoners, the regime has not been able to stop the resistance of citizens who demand freedom, democracy, and respect for human rights and have taken risks with their lives. Security forces, IRGC, Basij, police forces, and riot police used bullets, tear gas, and batons to suppress the protests. In solidarity with Iranian women and the many young men who are courageously protesting, the resolution reaffirms its full support for the Iranian people’s aspirations for democracy, human rights, and fundamental freedoms. The decision obliges the Italian government to put pressure on the Iranian regime directly and in multilate
