Written by Shamsi Saadati Paris, France  – On Saturday, May 17, 2025, an influential international conference convened in Paris, uniting parliamentarians and prominent political figures from a wide array of countries including the United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, Malta, Switzerland, Romania, Portugal, and the Netherlands. The central theme of the gathering was the urgent need for a new, decisive international policy towards Iran, with a strong emphasis on supporting democratic change and recognizing the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) as a viable alternative to the current regime. The event served as a significant platform for global lawmakers to voice their concerns over the deteriorating human rights situation in Iran, the regime’s escalating domestic repression, its destabilizing regional activities, and its persistent pursuit of a nuclear program. Activists are demanding #IRGC_Out of Syria

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has been supporting Bashar Al Assad since the beginning of the Syrian Revolution in 2011.

The Syrian dictator Bashar Al Assad has on several occasions expressed his gratitude to the supreme leader of Iran thanking him for saving his dictatorship government.

On October 1st 2017 Human Rights Watch issued a statement confirming that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has recruited Afghan immigrant children living in Iran to fight in Syria, asking them to immediately end the recruitment of child soldiers and bring back any Afghan children it has sent to fight in Syria.

On Friday October 13th 2017, The US Treasury Department blacklisted Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)

The US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley has also time and time again expressed concern over the Iranian influence in Syria highlighting that Iran should not replace ISIS in Syria. She said senior Iranian leaders are traveling to Syria and Iraq in violation of international travel bans. 'Where's the outrage?'

"Iran hides behind its assertion of technical compliance w/the nuclear deal, while it brazenly violates the other limits.."
Amb. @NikkiHaley

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson anticipated an end to the fight against ISIS and asked the Iranian-backed militias in Iraq to go home.

The theocracy ruling Iran is the oldest state sponsored terrorism in the world and its interference in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Lebanon is arguably much more dangerous than the nuclear threat.

The refugee crisis that the world is witnessing today is just a small portion of the Iranian meddling and export of terror to the neighboring countries.

The danger of IRGC’s interference in Syria and Iraq has always been much more dangerous than ISIS. IRGC has been directly involved in killing the Syrian people since 2011 and has also been freely sending weapons and mercenaries from Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Lebanon and many other countries to Syria.

It is time for the International Community to take action and expel Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) from Syria and Iraq.

On Sunday 10 PM Local time in Syria, activist from all around the world are planning for a social media campaign using the Hashtag #IRGC_Out demanding the International Community and specifically the US administration to take action against the Iranian interference in Syria.
