While global attention remains fixed on war and negotiations, the clerical regime has launched one of its most extensive campaigns of political executions and repression in recent memory. Young protesters, political activists, students and opposition supporters are being sent to the gallows while much of the democratic world remains distracted. The surge in executions should be a matter of grave concern for every civilized nation. Instead, silence prevails as governments hold their breath, waiting for the latest twist in Donald Trump’s on-again, off-again peace initiative and hopes of an end to conflict involving Iran. Iran: Photo Story, MEK Members in Albania Commemorate Martyrs of November 2019 Uprising

In November 2019, Iran went through the most significant outpouring of popular unrest in decades. The uprising was sparked by the announcement of sharp increases in the government-set price of gasoline, but it quickly became an outlet for the revival of previously established demands for regime change.



The regime has resorted to brute repression, killing at least 1500 protesters and arresting thousands more. It also shut down Iran’s internet completely for a week, blocking images of the protests from reaching the outside world.
Dozens of officials and state media outlets in Iran blamed the main Iranian opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) for leading the protests through small teams of “Resistance Units.”
On November 10, 2020, coinciding with the anniversary of the November 2019 uprising and the holding of online conferences in this regard in more than 2400 locations around the world, members of the MEK in Albania commemorated the martyrs of this uprising. They held a commemoration ceremony while carrying photos of the uprising martyrs in different parts of Ashraf 3 in Albania.

NCRI, British parliamentary committee host online event in support of Iranian women
